ACCOMMODATION
Where you sleep and what time you get in
These are the answers you give us in this section. The time you get in on the first day moves everything else the most — half an hour earlier is two big attractions with the queue still empty — but that hour is not available to everyone, which is why we ask where you are staying first.
Example — this is how it would look, these aren't your details
- Where you sleep hotel or outside the resort
- Board meal plan
- Extra Magic Time yes or no, based on the above
Saying "there's nothing here" is an answer too
This question needs an answer before we can generate the Route, and this one here is one of them.
No Disney hotel. That means no Extra Magic Time and no board to discount, so we start each day at public opening time.

Full hours every day. We start at opening and finish at closing, on the first and last day too.
This is the example view, so what you tick here is only saved in this browser. When you buy it is saved with your trip, and it can be changed for as long as the Route hasn't been generated.
Once your purchase is active you'll tell us whether you are staying in a Disney hotel, at Villages Nature or outside the resort, which one, and what board you have booked. Those three answers decide whether you can get in early, whether it's worth going back to the room mid-afternoon, and which meals shouldn't be planned twice.
Once your purchase is active you'll be able to tell us, day by day, whether you arrive later or leave earlier than usual — a nap, a train home, dinner outside the park. By default we plan for full park hours on every day, and that assumption is what changes how everything else fits more than anything.
The dates are tied to your purchase — each park day has a cost attached. Buy to fix your calendar; if you later need to add or move a day, write to us and we'll adjust it by hand.
To answer what's above it helps to know what Extra Magic Time is, who gets it, and what each board type means. It's all below.
What Extra Magic Time is and who gets it
It is the hour Disney opens the parks before the general public, and only for some guests. It isn't an extra you can buy: either you have it because of where you sleep, or you don't. It matters far more than it sounds, because it is the only hour of the day when the big attractions are open and empty at the same time. What time it starts, what opens and where to go first is in What to do with your Extra Magic Time hour.
Who gets in
Guests of a Disney hotel, of Villages Nature Paris, and Gold Annual Pass holders. With the room booked, everyone on the booking gets in.
What it changes in your Route
The time your first day starts. Half an hour earlier with empty queues is two big attractions that cost an hour each later on.
With Extra Magic Time
A Disney hotel, Villages Nature Paris, or a Gold Annual Pass.
You get in an hour before everyone else — usually 8:30 to 9:30, with both parks opening together at 9:30. Check the exact time in the app, it changes by season. If you have this advantage, we take it into account when working out your entry time.
Without Extra Magic Time
Staying outside the resort, or a single-day ticket.
You get in at general opening. An earlier hour simply does not exist for you, and a Route built on it would leave you at the gate while the itinerary already has you inside — and it would drag that gap through the rest of the day.
If you don't have Extra Magic Time you lose nothing on this page: your day simply starts at general opening and we build from there. What we won't do is give you an entry time you can't use.
That is why we ask where you are staying first and only then the entry time. It isn't a warning you can dismiss: if you don't have Extra Magic Time, the earliest hour the form will let you enter is park opening. We would rather ask one question too many than build an itinerary that starts at an hour which does not exist.
Board: which meals you've already paid for
If your accommodation includes meals, planning them again would be paying for them twice. That's why we ask about board right after the hotel — and only if you're staying in the resort, which is when the question makes sense. Below is what each option means; the details depend on the particular plan you booked.
- Room only no meals included
- Breakfast included breakfast, usually at the hotel
- Half board breakfast and one more meal a day
- Full board breakfast, lunch and dinner
