Is the parade non-negotiable for you?
The daytime parade runs through Disneyland Park, and your Route includes it whenever it fits, without you having to ask. What you decide is what happens when it doesn't fit easily: tell us it is non-negotiable and we will place it even if that means moving other things in the afternoon; otherwise we let it go that day rather than lose two attractions waiting for it.
Saying "there's nothing here" is an answer too
This question needs an answer before we can generate the Route, and this one here is one of them.
The parade is not a priority. We will include it if it fits without taking anything else away from you, and on a day when it doesn't fit we will let it go.
This is the example view, so what you tick here is only saved in this browser. When you buy it is saved with your trip, and it can be changed for as long as the Route hasn't been generated.
Once your purchase is active you will be able to mark whether the parade is a priority for the trip. We include it whenever it fits even if you don't mark it — this simply gives it more weight against other things when something has to give.
To answer that it helps to know what is on each night in each park, and what each one costs you in time. It is all just below.
What is on each night, and how much lead time each thing needs
Each park closes the night with a show of its own: Disney Tales of Magic at Disneyland Park, with fireworks, projections on the castle and drones; and Disney Cascade of Lights at Disney Adventure World, over Adventure Bay, with water drones, fountains and pyrotechnics. There is only one per park per night, so if you are in a single park that evening, that is your night-time show.
The daytime parade changes from season to season, so we won't give you a name here that would go stale — the current one and its route are in the Disney app. It usually runs twice a day, and the second showing is normally far emptier than the first.
How early to arrive, by type of show:
- Night-time shows — the longest lead time; one per park per night.
- Street shows and short musicals — minimal lead time, you can turn up almost on the hour.
- Daytime parade — depends where along the route: the best spots fill up early.
For dates far ahead, Disney has sometimes not published show times yet, and a Route generated before then cannot place the ones that have no time yet. When to generate it is decided in When we generate your Route.

This part is fixed as soon as your Route is generated, so that the itinerary in your hand and the details it was built from are the same. If you need to change something, write to us: we'll adjust it and generate it again.
