With small children: what you can ride

Of the fifty attractions we plan around in our catalogue, only ten have a minimum height. The rest — forty attractions — have no height barrier at the gate, although some can still be intense for a small child for other reasons (speed, darkness, sound effects); that is covered by intensity rather than height, and it is a separate question.

Which those ten are, and the centimetre at which each barrier starts, is in The minimum heights, one by one, in your group's section — with the date it was checked and the reminder that the sign at the entrance overrules any document, ours included.

In practice, what is left for anyone below those heights is fairly concentrated. Fantasyland, in Disneyland Park, is the area with the highest density of attractions without a barrier — It's a Small World and Peter Pan's Flight among them, both also marked as essentials in our catalogue — along with Adventure Isle, in Adventureland, designed as a free-exploration area with no minimum height in any of its corners. In Disney Adventure World, the Arendelle area in World of Frozen adds a recent second option: Raiponce Tangled Spin, an open spinning ride that opened with World of Frozen itself in March 2026: no minimum height and a gentle pace, very much in the spirit of a turn on the teacups, so it works well for very young ages.

With a mixed group — some above the height and some below — it is worth chaining these stops together rather than going back and forth: crossing the whole park only to return later to the no-height area usually costs more time than it looks.
